TPTM Media is currently researching a long-form series examining the history of the United Nations, from its foundation in the aftermath of the Second World War to its role in today’s geopolitical landscape. The focus is not only historical. It looks at how the institution was designed, the assumptions behind its structure, and how those foundations are being tested in a world that has shifted significantly since its creation.
TPTM Media is approaching this research through field reporting and archival analysis, following how the United Nations is referenced, engaged with, and challenged across different contexts, focusing on how its original mandate interacts with present-day realities. The objective is to examine whether an institution built for a different era continues to function within the conditions that define the current one.
